Lisbon-Porto train was awesome - fast and very comfortable (ok, there are slower and a bit cheaper versions too...). Of course, there's a ticket control, which is not surprising considering the price 😃 But controls in suburban trains / metro are a bit surprising.
Metro in Porto is newer / fancier than in Lisbon, seemed like brand new.
The city is one big hill, so prepare your legs for it :) There are also unfriendly-priced cable cars (which aren't covered by daily ticket) if you really want to.
Bullet points:
- Port wine street. Well how can you not enjoy a glass of nice port there?
- Matosinhos district, nice coast
- Bridges
